Amazing Sunday Roast!
Had a fab Sunday roast! The meat was spot on, locally sourced, and cooked perfectly. Veggies were fresh, no soggy frozen stuff here. The team was super friendly, felt like family. Only wish the bar had a bit more of a cozy vibe. definitely a place to hit up for a great meal!

A warm and friendly atmosphere, reminiscent of visiting a friend's home, made for an inviting experience. The spacious deluxe double room was immaculate, with thoughtful touches like a selection of quality drinks. Breakfast featured delicious artisanal bread, complementing the excellent menu options. The only downside was the limited evening hours, which left little opportunity to sample the enticing food offerings more extensively. the cask ales were a highlight that stood out among the local offerings.

The cozy decor with eclectic touches created a warm atmosphere that felt inviting. A solid selection of local ales provided a nice touch for those wanting to unwind after a long day.
The emergency lighting in the room was incredibly bright, making the space feel more like a space station than a cozy hotel room. A lack of soundproofing meant the noises from the pub below carried late into the night, which might be bothersome if you're a light sleeper. the shower was cramped, and those of larger stature might have some difficulty fitting comfortably. I experienced a few inconveniences when trying to get breakfast due to limited availability, which can be annoying for mornings when you need to start your day early.

wonderful access to beautiful parks and charming landmarks
During my recent stay, I loved how I could easily walk to Shalford Park, just under 4 km from the hotel, perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the charming Godalming Museum, only a bit over 4 km away, added a delightful cultural touch to my weekend.

The room was clean with crisp bedding. Nice touch with tea and coffee facilities. I appreciated the flat-screen TV, although the signal strength was poor, causing buffering. The dinner had good portion sizes, but the quality of food left something to be desired. Staff were pleasant, but the welcome lacked warmth. Check-in felt rushed. Breakfast needed to be reserved ahead of time, which I forgot, leading to inconvenience. The pub atmosphere was inviting, but noise from below can be bothersome in the evening, affecting sleep quality. Could improve communication about amenities and meal availability. A shame about the small issues overshadowing the potential.
